Improved Performance

We have improved the image processing engine and application design, bringing about improvements in performance compared to earlier SILKYPIX versions. Improvements have been made not only to development processing (writing to files), but also to the responsiveness of adjustment sliders and other various parts such as opening an application.

Improved Image Quality during Noise Reduction

The latest developed noise reduction algorithm "NR5," has been installed, improving the quality of images during noise reduction.

Red Eye Correction

It is possible to correct areas of red eye from flashes.

Add Noise

You can obtain effects that increase the emphasis and sharpness of details of the object. Also, you can use this function as a film grain (granular feeling of the frame) emulation.

Unsharp mask during preview

You can now set the preview screen for unsharp mask as set for JPEG / TEFF output or printing in the past.

Adjusting Bright Sections and Dark Sections with Dodge Functions / HDR Functions

Controls have been added in the dodge and HDR functions to adjust correcting gradation in dark areas and light areas independently.

Portrait Beautification

You can control details such as rough or layering skins, through the automatic search and smooth expression of areas close to skin tones.

Automatic Level Correction

This function automatically recognizes the photograph's histogram and sets the level for shadowing and highlighting.

Changes centered on shading

You can change the center of corrections to shading (peripheral dimming).

Soft Proofing (Display of Printing Warning)

You can confirm color tastes on the preview screen when printing by selecting the printer profile and "Printer + Paper."

Creating Hot Folder

This function allows you to view the designated folder and automatically read to SILKYPIX when data is added there.

Changing the way to apply development parameters in multiple images

Until now, you could not apply tastes when selecting multiple images. With DSP6, you can edit each adjustment even when multiple images are selected.

Improvement to set/clear Marks

It is possible to set set marks (Develop marks, user marks, etc.) on the status bar.

Thumbnail Response to Spoit Tools

You can designate selected tools to thumbnail images with spoit, such as exposure bias tool, gray balance tool and black level tool.

You can confirm and operate in preview areas on special thumbnails.

You can easily confirm the overall atmosphere of the photograph by showing the preview on the entire screen.

Individual displays of JPEG / TIFF with the same name

RAW images and JPEG / TIFF images of the same name can be displayed individually. This is useful when comparing recorded JPEG / TIFF at the same time.

It is possible to have three separate control layouts on the screen.
