0. Outline and Introduction

SILKYPIX® Developer Studio 2.0 generates images by separating and processing the RAW data that are taken by a digital camera. This processing is called "Development".
SILKYPIX® provides you to take the advantage of the RAW data, and to create high-quality and high-resolution developed the image.

This software uses various parameters to adjust images.
    (1) Exposure bias
You can adjust the exposure bias after taking some pictures, which is the same as adjusting the exposure bias of a digital camera before taking a picture.
You can use "Auto exposure bias" function to determine the parameter quickly.

    (2) White balance adjustment
You can adjust the white balance after taking some pictures that is the same as selecting the white balance of a digital camera before taking a picture, and it is also the same as using color temperature conversion filter.

    (3) Sharpness adjustment
You can adjust the sharpness of the image outline.

    (4) Tone adjustment
You can adjust the tone of the image. You can make high contrast image or low contrast image, which ever you prefer.

    (5) Color Adjustment
It has a function that can fine-tune the color mode, which can adjust the pictures color details and color choice in the photograph.

    (6) Lens aberration controller
You can correct or reduce the lens aberration and create a higher quality image.

    (7) Rotation/Digital shift
You can correct the angle when you take an inclined photo.
And you can control perspective by digital shift function as same as using a shift lens. It is effective to take a photo of buildings.

This software makes it possible for you to adjust the above image processing after taking some pictures. Therefore, you can spend more time catching the moment rather than wasting time setting the digital camera.
JPEG images have 8 bits per color channel, totaling only 256 tones for each of the three RGB (red, green and blue light) color channels, while RAW has 10-16 bits per color channel, and a JPEG image is converted to a proper colorspace, so that is not good for image processing.
If you take pictures by using RAW data, you can process various image processing while keeping the image quality.

The following is a special feature of this software:

    (1) High resolution
In general, the picture resolution will depend upon the number of pixels in the image sensor and the lens faculty. But the image processing from RAW data to a JPEG or TIFF image is actually one of the key factors to determine the resolution.
Our exclusive de-mosaic processing technology allows you to make higher-resolution image than creating it on your digital camera.

    (2) High color separation
In general, chroma component is lost and an imitation outline appears near the edge of highly saturated area. This is one disadvantage of taking a picture with a digital camera. However, SILKYPIX® provides you with high color separation while keeping the chroma component as much as possible.

    (3) False color control
The image sensor used by most present digital cameras has the structure that is called Bayer array. Bayer array makes the pattern R,G,B,G,R,G,B,G ... regularly on the image sensor, and each element of the image sensor is given only one color of R,G or B. Because of the above, the false color appears at the detail pattern on the image.
SILKYPIX® allows you to control this false color at a high level at the same time keeping a high resolution and a high color separation.

    (4) Color noise control when taking pictures with high sensitivity
Color noise appears remarkable when taking a picture with high sensitivity, which is uneven and blurred color noise. This noise can make us very uncomfortable. Do you feel like giving up taking pictures with high sensitivity?
This is when SILKYPIX® allows you to control this color noise in high levels and allows you to create clean images. It allows you more shutter chance by using high sensitivity.

    (5) Highlight control
You can use the slider control to adjust the hue and the saturated brightness in the highlighted areas.
For instance, when taking a picture of a person the highlighted area of the skin and the white area become yellowish.
Using the highlight controller on this software, it will enable you to control the color in the highlighted area, and give you the details of the color.

    (6) Intuitive and linear color reproduction
Our original color matching method allows you to reproduce the color exactly how you took them on your camera under any light sources.
"3D color mapping method" realizes memory colors, portrait colors and film colors, and this software provide several color modes for your needs.
You can fine tune with "4.11 Fine color controller".
